I know little of computers. I have Internet Explorer browser. How much MB space should I use. Will using more MB speed up my browser or slow it down. I think that the less I use the faster it will be, less space for my computer to search through??? Have no idea. Space available is from 0 to 3200. thank you

To view an internet site your browser needs to download an exact copy of that internet page including all the pictures, advertisements etc. These downloaded internet pages are located in a folder called Temporary Internet Files (also called internet cache).

Resizing your Cache

By default Internet Explorer allocates 10% of your drive. This was fine years ago but today with the size of these new drives, 10% is just too large and increases the chances for corruption.

Click the Settings button, adjust the TIF size to 50 mb, click OK....

I have mine set at 61MB (DEFAULT)

In a nutshell, yer temp files are a rememberance of pages you've visited that are stored so that the next time you visit them they load quiker..If your using dial up, yer better off making your cache a tad bit bigger verses broadband
